About

Dear Friends,

My name is Charlie. I was born in Sichuan, China. Although I spend most of my life far away from my hometown, I still miss the food, street, and atmosphere there, let alone my beloved family and friends.

A Chinese proverb says, “not going to Sichuan when you are young” (少不入川) because life is so comfortable that you will lose your ambitions. Also, I am always curious about the world outside after several years of living overseas as a child. Hence, I decided to leave my hometown after high school.

Since then, I have lived in different places across three continents. Throughout those years, I gradually realized how ignorant I used to be. People say that the more you learn, the more unknown you know. Ironically, I only understood it at the end of my doctoral study. Travel is a way to improve me by learning the unknowns.

In my blog, I want to share my personal experience on the road and how travel changed me for the better. Also, I hope my travel experience can encourage you to find your way of enjoying traveling. Please do not hesitate to send me a message with any questions.
